Our Story
Testimonials
The LKH Foundation was established by Livas Kwarisiima, a 28-year-old Ugandan currently pursuing a medical degree and serving as the medical advocacy coordinator for the American Medical Student Association (AMSA).
Growing up in an impoverished neighborhood, Livas became intimately familiar with the struggles faced by the underprivileged in the country.
At the age of 8, Livas was deeply unsettled by the inaccessibility of basic needs and services to the common person. It was then that she resolved to establish a foundation to address these pressing issues.
Choosing a career in medicine with the same purpose in mind, Livas aligned with the vision and goals of organizations such as the UN, UNDP, and UNICEF. The creation of LKH was driven by the overarching goal of empowering individuals to lead sustainable lives, restoring hope, and securing a brighter future for all..
